In eight short weeks Virginia voters will go to the polls and select State Senators and Delegates. This is an especially critical election because currently both houses are evenly divided Republican and Democratic resulting in grid lock with very little results.
Virginia is one of the most gerrymandered states in the country, with cities and counties being deliberately broken up for partisan reasons. Currently our districts are drawn for political reasons and leave a majority of our representatives with no real challengers. The people of Virginia deserve true representation through competitive races and elections. First and foremost I'm a dad, and one who wants the best for his children. I want my children to have the same advantages in life that my brother and I had as we were growing up in Roanoke. I want them to have quality medical care, good schools, and safe neighborhoods. I want them to know that, like their father, upon graduation from college they will be able to return to their hometown and that there will be plenty of opportunities awaiting them. This dream is one held by all parents for all of our children.In order to see this dream happen for my children I have decided to take action. Through prayer and introspection I have determined that what I want most is to become the voice for those who feel that they’re no longer being heard in Richmond. With my innovative approach, business experience, and eagerness to serve I know that I’m the right voice for Virginia’s 19th Senate District.
